Can you introduce yourself to our readers?
Im Anja Zeidler and I was born on July,27 in 1993. I’m a 20year old girl, still living Switzerland. My dream would be to move to California one day. I started working as a model, already appeared in MAXIM, FHM, GQ, VOLO, SETTE, SHOCK and many other magazines all over the world. Soon I’m gonna be in “Muscle&Fitness” US-Issue as an IRON MAIDEN. And thats exactly where I wanna go! I wanna be a fitnessmodel and seperate myself from all the superskinny topmodels. I don’t do fitness, I live it! i’m currently studying to become a nutrition coach and already help out my friends with their diet. How and when did you start your fitness lifestyle?
I started with weightlifting when i came back home to Switzerland after a 4month-california trip. i become pretty chubby to say it nicely and didn’t do any sports at all. All I cared about was party. That’s nearly two years ago now. But, there was always this dream, this dream of becoming a model. i tried so many diets, nothing really helped. I got introduced to two cool guys, Daniel and Remo from D&R Performance who became my coaches. They showed me how it’s done and the more time flew, the more I got addicted to this whole fitness world. my dream of becoming a model changed into becoming a fitness model.
Can you share on of your healthy recipes with us?
Let’s take a sweet recipe 😉
I bake some protein muffins from time to time. I beat 7 egg whites, add 2 spoons of crushed almonds and 2 scoops of vanilla-protein powder, mix it all up, add some frozen berries and bake it 5 to 7 minutes in the oven 220 degrees Celsius (430 °F).
How does your current diet look?
Now i just started with a new diet plan. I get some more carbohydrates now. I used to eat high protein and low carb for summer with lots of greens. now I want to gain a little bit more muscles and that’s why I go a big higher on the complex carbohydrates. I used to eat them only in the morning and before workouts, now I add also a little amount for lunch and dinner. Sure, protein stays always high! I eat up to 6 times a day and this method absolutely pays off for me!
How does a normal day in your life look like regarding food?
I precook my food every evening before I go to bed. I never leave my house without all my food boxes. i eat every 3 hours. it starts with meal 1, protein porridge and finishes with a casein shake before bed. Inbetween I eat high protein, lots of veggies and complex carbohydrates.
I take supplements as for example fish oil and bcaa’s. Whey-protein shakes after every workout are a must!
What’s your favorite healthy meal?
My favorite healthy meal is almond crusted chicken with filled with spinach, some peanut butter sauce, some quinoa and green beans. i also loooove sweet potatoes. mashed, chips, baked, cooked, all versions of sweet potatoes 😉
Any cheat days or meals?
Awww, cheat meals, for sure 😉 From time to time i need my cheat meals. my favorite one is “Älplermagrone” its a Swiss meal. its maccaroni with a creamy cheese sauce, onions, bacon and potatoepieces all mixed in one pot. for desert, i sure go for – what could it be – PEANUTBUTTERICECREAM 😉
What motivates you to keep on pushing hard?
. I have a huge willpower and motivation. i always focus on my goals and on my dreams. Every time I want to give up I ask myself “How bad do you really want it?! Hard work pays off!” that’s what keeps me going.
How does your training routine look?
My training routine changes pretty often. i try to now stuck on the same stuff every time. at the moment, I do weightlifting 5 times a week in the evening, and twice a week cardio in the early morning on an empty stomach.
I train hyphertrophy (gaining muscles) at the moment, heavy weights! 😉
Also I get myself into some workouts, similar to bootcamp and crossfit.
If you could chance any body part, which would it be?
Hmm. actually I don’t want to change any part of me. I am who I am. I want to keep all my body parts, but I want to improve them!! I think role models are good, but in the end I think everyone should be the best version of him/herself!
Have you got any tips for newbies?
Everybody started at the very beginning.
Always remember, you don’t have to be great to start, but you have to start to be great!
Always keep going and stay focused! When you feel like quitting, think about why you started and remember that nothing is impossible!
